Professor Maia Ukleba’s textbooks "Recreation Theory and Practice" and "Tourism Destination Management" has come out.
Recreation, with its essence and purpose, is a unique and complex phenomenon that does not have a universal concept.
The first part of the textbook analyzes the aspects of theory of recreation, the different concepts of recreation, functions of recreational activities, forms, and issues related to free and recreational time and recreational requirements, while the second part is dedicated to the recreational tourism essence, classification issues and related approaches to the analysis.
In the textbook "Tourist Destination Management", there are many different approaches to the definition of tourist destinations, its main elements, such as cluster, geographical segmentation of tourism market, types of tourist destinations, their classification issues, and ways of assessing the potential of destination, peculiarities and competitiveness of the tourist product destination.
The Textbook editors are Niko Kvaratskhelia - Doctor, Professor of St. Andrew the First Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia, Tourism Expert and Nino Pavliashvili - Associate Professor of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
The textbooks were prepared within the framework of Tempus project "Network of Competence Centers in the Black Sea Region's Cruise Tourism Development Plan”.
