In September 25 2013 winners of the students’ competition “My Borjomi” have been awarded at the Hotel “Radisson Blue”
Traditionally, the author and the organizer of the competition has been the company „IDS Borjomi Georgia“.
The project has aimed at inspiring students and providing them with an opportunity to develop practical skills together with theoretical knowledge.
At the first stage of the competition the students have taken the course of lectures by Alex Chikovani – basics of branding, visited the draft plant of “Borjomi” and studied the process of manufacturing Borjomi waters, after which they have received marketing assignment: participants of the competition „IDS Borjomi Georgia“ had to think of advertising campaign for the 2014 year.
This year eight teams from eight different higher schools have participated in the competition: Ilia State University, Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University, Free University, Caucasus University, Agricultural University, The International Black Sea University, Georgian – American University and the Georgian University of Social Affairs.
The winners of the 2013 students competition “My Borjomi” have become students of Business Administration at the Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University (Salome Kapanadze, Salome Aslanikashvili, Nino Mchedlishvili, Lika Gokadze, Eka Pitskhalaishvili). The second place was conferred to the Georgian American University, while the third prize winner has become the students of the Caucasus University.
The jury members were the management board of the company and independent professionals: Levan Bagdavadze – first deputy general director of the „IDS Borjomi Georgia,” commercial director of the „IDS Borjomi Georgia“ – Levan Khurodze, Davit Gelashvili – marketing director of the „IDS Borjomi Georgia“, Alex Chikovani – marketeer, founder and the chief consultant of the company “ LIVE“, Kote Batmanidi – head of sales of the “Rustavi 2”, General Director of the “ARTAREA TV” – Sopio Khuntsaria and Mr. Vakhtang, partner and executive director - "CEO, Co-Founder”.
Prize Fund of the competition has co mprised USD 5 thousand.
