On December 22, 2017, the economic debates for students were held by the organization of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Economic and Social Statistics Department of the Economics and Business Faculty.

The debate theme was "Employment and Unemployment problems and the ways of their solution in Georgia."

Debates were participated by the students in the final round who had the opportunity in the real sphere and situational practical study format share the gained knowledge with each other.

Debate participants discussed such important issues as assessing unemployment levels, employment and labor conditions in Georgia, Employment and assessment of remuneration, Education system and the role of education in employment, employment problems in young people and students, the role of the state in the overcoming unemployment and etc.

Professor Amiran Tavartkiladze, chair of Finance and Economics Department of the Business and Social Sciences Faculty of Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University participated in assessment of student debates.
