Today, on July 18, the second match of the final series was held to reveal the winner of the Student Basketball League.

After winning the first match of the final series, today was still a successful day for our University basketball team.

Our basketball players had a great match this time as well and defeated the team of the Georgian State University of Physical Education and Sports with a convincing score of 75:60 and won the title of the winner of the Student League.

Irakli Jebashvili from our university was named the best player of the student league.

Along with the championship of the Student League, GTTU team has won a trip to the "A" League and will take part in the professional basketball tournament organized by the National Basketball Federation in the next season, 2021-2022.

GTTU team will receive 70,000 GEL funding from the State Basketball Development Fund to participate in the “A” League and will have a chance to move to the Super League next season.
