On May 5-6, 2023, a volleyball championship was held at Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University.

The GTUNI student volleyball team competed in the world competition together with teams from Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, and India, finishing in fourth place.

Eli Elisashvili, chancellor of GTUNI, addressed the teams competing in the championship before the commencement of the championship game.

GVC won first place and the United Volleyball Cup 2023 trophy.

Together with Polish collaborators, GTUNI and Georgian Volleyball Club GVC organized the event.

After the final match, the head of the relations with students and alumni and career support service of GTUNI - Mate Tsulaia, and the president of the Georgian volleyball club - Monika Jaranoswka gave prizes to the teams participating in the championship and named the best players.
