On March 13 of this year, Grigol Kalandadze, Head of the International Relations Service of Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University, and Professor Zoia Adamia, Head of the Research Promotion Center, attended the presentation of visiting representatives of Latvian universities at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Georgia.

The event was opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Georgia, Mrs. Edite Medne.

The purpose of the meeting was to provide the present public with information about the educational and research opportunities available to Georgian citizens in the Republic of Latvia.

The representative of Turiba University (Latvia, Riga), Mrs. Ayeva Tumase, participated in the event and visited GTUNI after the end of the said event.

Within the framework of the visit, Mrs. Ayeva Tumase met with the rector of the university, Professor Giorgi Matiashvili, Chancellor Eli Elisashvili, and representatives of the administration.

At the meeting, the parties talked about exchange programs, plans, perspectives, and joint educational activities.
