Last week Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University hosted the 20th anniversary of the establishment of American Studies in Georgia and the international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of TSU. Representatives, professors, students and researchers from various universities of Georgia and the world participated in the conference.
Several sections were worked on the conference: history and politics, US-Georgian relations, Foreign policy, indigenous Americans, literature and language, culture, social issues and law, Latin America, philosophy, media, medicine, economics and architecture.
The conference was participated by Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University, Journalism specialty students Salome Gamtsemlidze and Tamar Tochilashvili.
The 19th Annual Conference of American Studies was organized by TSU Institute of American Studies and Georgian Association of American Studies.
