On March 25, 2016 the third Regional Symposium "Cruise Tourism - world experience and its development prospects in the Black Sea Region" was held in Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University. The symposium was participated by Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University, Batumi State Maritime Academy, Caucasus International University and Kutaisi University representatives.

Symposium participants discussed topics such as: Cruise Tourism: Trends and development prospects; Regional economic development issues; Destination of sustainable development problems; the world tourism market development trends and problems; Regional aspects of tourism services market development; Innovative technologies in the field of tourism; Qualified personnel in the field of tourism - current problems and prospects.

The Symposium "Competence Center Network for the Black Sea Cruise Tourism Development" was held on the framework of Tempus project.
