Today, May 11, 2023, a mock trial was held at Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University. Students of undergraduate programs operating in GTUNI were involved in the process.

Students from the law school and the jury psychology department represented the parties to the proceedings, and students from the journalism program covered the mock trial.

Students have the chance to take on the roles of prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, jurors, bailiffs, and even the accused during mock trials.

Similar exercises aid students in developing practical skills, overcoming preexisting phobias or complexes before beginning the actual process, and—most importantly—understanding the role they will play in the future.

The jury rendered an acquittal decision at the conclusion of the trial.
