In South Korea, Hanbok is famous, and in North Korea, Chosonot is a traditional Korean dress. The term "Hanbok" or "Korean clothing" originates from the period of the three kingdoms (1st century BC - 7th century BC). The dress underwent many changes, if the lower part of the garment was always a high-waisted bottom decided in light colors, the upper part was changed according to the social stratum in the early period; High-status women with long "coats" appeared in public, while the lower class preferred short tops, thus emphasizing their maternal instinct and femininity. In the modern world, Korean women are increasingly appearing in traditional attire at formal meetings, festivals, or ceremonies.
