On May 7, 2021, the Regional Academy of the Public Broadcaster and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) started a series of trainings at the Regional Training Center based on the Georgian Public Broadcaster Channel I.

Along with Channel I journalists, Armenian and Azerbaijani colleagues were also present at the training.

This year, media students were given the opportunity for the first time to be involved in a joint project of Channel I and the EBU.

The training, due to the Covid pandemic, was conducted remotely.

The topic of the first training was "Tik Tok and Instagram", which was led by Justin Kings, trainer of the Academy of the European Broadcasting Union.

Ten students of journalism at Guramtavartkiladze University (Ketevan Kechakmadze, Salome Chikadze, Nato Maisuradze, Elene Peradze, Mariam Tordia, Tea Parkauli, Mariam Gabiskiria, Davit Tsiklauri, Salome Tsereteli and Natalia Aruten) were involved in the project.

The series of trainings covers different courses in the field of media and will last for two years.
