On August 25, 2023, Georgian International University GIU established a partnership with Sungshin Women’s University of the Republic of Korea. Sungshin Women’s University has the history of almost 100 years. It is one of the leading universities in the Republic of Korea which has “Excellent IEQAS University” status and possesses the 591-600th place in QS world university ratings.

It is remarkable that the agreement on collaboration between GIU and Sungshin Women’s University has been conducted in various domains. Two documents were signed between partners - Memorandum of Understanding and Student Exchange Agreement.

Georgian International University students will have the opportunity to acquire GKS scholarship to study at Sungshin Women’s University. The scholarship will fully cover their studies and expenses.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is oriented on supporting collaboration between the universities in the frames of various educational, research, cultural and cognitive activities. The universities will be able to exchange administrative and academic staff on the basis of the aforementioned MOU.

Student Exchange Agreement is aimed at carrying out students’ exchange projects annually in the frames of various academic programs.

Korean language is taught successfully at GIU. The Korean language study process is guided by an invited Korean lecturer. The students of GIU Bachelor and Master’s programs have the opportunity to choose and study Korean language without any additional fees.
