On May 9, 2023, a round table titled "Journalism Education: Today and Tomorrow" was held at Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University.

Participants in the conversation included specialists, heads of journalism education programs at higher education institutions, and working journalists.

The round table members talked about the issues, difficulties, truths, and viewpoints that face contemporary journalism and journalism education. Focus was placed on how well journalism education adhered to the standards set by the modern media industry as well as its content, structure, and delivery methods.

Giorgi Mamatsashvili, the chairman of the Creative Union of Journalists of Georgia, attended the meeting and presented the Sergey Meskhi Award for their contributions to the growth of Georgian journalism to the authors of the textbook "Journalism" published under the auspices of the Georgian-French Project.

It is encouraging that such conversations and arguments will make the education of upcoming journalistic generations even more alluring and fascinating.
