On December 15-19, 2016 India hosted the 18th World Congress of Criminology. Such kind of forum is held once in every three years and, therefore was hosted by the different countries. So the 17th World Congress of Criminology was held in Mexico, the 16th World Congress of Criminology was held in Japan and etc. 750 delegates of sixty countries were presented in the congress. Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University Professor Edisher Putkaradze participated in the congress from Georgia. Professor Edisher Putkaradze presented two reports in the Congress:” Teaching of Criminology in Georgia” and “Women and children as the victims of crimes.”

At the end of the congress the participants were awarded certificates.
