On December 24, 2022, the AIESEC Georgia project: "Youth for Global Goals" was held at GTUNI!
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals developed by the United Nations address many issues in our daily lives that are directly related to our future. The role of each individual in achieving international and local prosperity is particularly important.
The project aimed to:
• Dissemination of information about the goals of sustainable development of the United Nations among young people and involvement in practical activities;
• Increasing awareness about "world citizenship" and establishing a culture of a healthy, inclusive society in Georgia;
• Sharing the experience of invited speakers.
Speakers of the event:
• Davit Esatia - Georgian youth representative at the United Nations;
• Elene Lagvilava and Sofo Jibghashvili - representatives of the organization Moore, Abc;
• Nani Kobakhidze - founder and director of Linton Group and Linton Academy.
Young people between the ages of 16 and 20 from all around Georgia engaged in the initiative, which was tied to the 10th and 16th Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
The teams discussed the types of inequality they perceive around them and the kind of efforts they are taking to reduce it through presentations and role-playing.
GTUNI expresses gratitude to AIESEC Georgia for planning a significant initiative. Also, thanks to the sponsors, presenters, and participants for their support of the endeavor.
