On February 1, 2023, the Permanent Conference of Rectors of Georgia was held.

Rector of GuramTavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University, Professor Giorgi Matiashvili took part in the work of the conference.

At the conference, Davit Gurgenidze, head of the Technical University of Georgia, was introduced to the attendees as a candidate for the chairmanship by academician JabaSamushia, the rector of IvaneJavakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Following polling, Mr. Davit Gurgenidze was chosen as the conference's host by a unanimous vote.

After thanking his coworkers for their confidence, the new chairman presented the action plan.

European University was selected as an associate member of the Georgia Permanent Conference of Rectors at the meeting.
