On April 11, 2025, a welcoming event for international students was held at Georgian International University GIU.

The event was opened by the Rector of GIU, Eliso Elishashvili. Speeches were also delivered by GIU’s Vice Rector Selina Lee, Head of the Business Administration academic program, Natia Zhozhuashvili and a Canadian lecturer, Philip Chalhoub.

The meeting focused on the integration of international students into GIU’s academic and student life. Georgian students were also invited to the event and had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with their international peers.
