On 27 February 2015 on the initiative of the International Association "Women of Georgia for Peace and Life”, (chairman Maia Kvezereli - Kopadze) held a meeting – dialogue on the topic: “Prevention of violence and family conflicts against women “in the Ekvtime Takaishvili museum hall.
Participants listened to two reports:
- "The issue of gender equality in Georgia" (Presenter : Nana Devdariani);
- "Prevention of Violence against Women" (Presenter Psychologist Tea Gogitishvili).
The second part of the meeting was devoted to the summarizing results of the competition and awarding the winners who participated in students’ competition in December 2014 “No to violence” announced by the association.
Students of Georgia’s various universities presented their works on this topic among them were Social Sciences Faculty students of Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University: Nutsiko Koroshinadze(first year student), Mariam Gelashvili(first year student),Inola Noghaideli(second year student), Irakli Gejadze(second year student), Salome Gelashvili( second year student), Mariam Meladze( first year student), Teona Khubulava(second year student), Tamar Lamparadze( second year student).
Tamar Lamparidze became the third prize holder.
The meeting was participated by the non-governmental organizations, science and education, the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the members of Tbilisi City Council, Scientists, lawyers, teachers, other members of society.
There was held conversation- discussion on above-mentioned issues.
