On October 17, Georgian international university GIU hosted a meeting for the students.

The meeting was dedicated to the European Day against Trafficking.

The students received information about the functions of the "State Care and Assistance Agency for Victims of Trafficking".

The main focus was on trafficking as a crime and its forms as well as on state services for trafficking victims in Georgia. Issues related to violence against women, domestic violence, services for victims of sexual violence and other cases were discussed at the meeting.

The meeting was conducted by Tamila Sanikidze, Head of Tbilisi Trafficking and Victims of Violence Service Institution and Ekaterine Bartashvili, Lawyer.
