On September 28, 2023, organized by the Research Promotion Center of the Georgia International University (GIU), a training was held in the conference hall of the Georgia International University (GIU) library: "How to assess a scientific article".

Natia Gabedava, a translator, Web of Science review expert, adviser to journals on scientific concerns, and DOAJ associate editor from Georgia, led the course.

Participants in the program included the editorial board members, editors of the university's scientific publication, and faculty members of the International University of Georgia.

The discussion format of the meeting covered every step of the process, from sending the article to publishing it. The main topics of discussion included the copyright of the author and publisher, the role of the editorial board, reviewers, and editor-in-chief in these processes, and more.

In the frame of meeting the future cooperation issues were planned. At the end of the training, participants were awarded bilingual certificates.
